After 4 played minutes Shiba & Doge Club™ got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Paião. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Fero in the 6th minute of play forced Shiba & Doge Club™'s goalkeeper Idalécio Rego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Cordeal hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Idalécio Rego came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Yupandú FC's Jose Refugio. But to his dismay, Jose Refugio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Shiba & Doge Club™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Vigário to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Tomas Cebo in the 21st minute really tested Idalécio Rego's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ivan Prada kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Roano. In the 46th minute Albérico Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Bastia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Teo Fero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Idalécio Rego was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The Yupandú FC fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Yupandú FC's Teo Fero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59th minute of the match Shiba & Doge Club™ got a corner. Yupandú FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan Prada ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Shiba & Doge Club™'s Flávio Perdigão getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 62 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Izel. In the 69th minute Teo Fero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idalécio Rego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Veríssimo Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shiba & Doge Club™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Veríssimo Rios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Idalécio Rego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Izel in the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Durval Bulhosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yupandú FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Shiba & Doge Club™ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
