Astor Transito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Câmpeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, RB Chubut's Gaudencio Elia got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simbad Marina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carpathians's Emil Podgoreanu suffered a concussion after 11 minutes and had to leave the field. After 11 minutes, Roque Polo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Chubut and the Carpathians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carpathians's Isac Nicoliță was substituted for Emil Podgoreanu. In the 13th minute, Roque Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gaudencio Elia hit a great ball. Astor Transito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Câmpeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Polo to maneuver through the defense. Gaudencio Elia charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaudencio Elia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Elia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Codruț Gafița managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathians's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Gafița was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Transito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simbad Marina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Pârcălab was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Javier Petri. Petrică Costea hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Roque Polo. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Leonard Hâncu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathians's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Hâncu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 32nd minute Petrică Costea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Transito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Leonard Hâncu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpathians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RB Chubut the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Leonard Hâncu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabríel Batistuta in the 34th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Basarab Pârcălab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Gafița. Gabríel Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Basarab Pârcălab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Chubut. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ernesto Marino hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isac Nicoliță was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of RB Chubut:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carpathians:s goal. The referee gave Carpathians a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Codruț Gafița, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of RB Chubut's Astor Transito. 0-1. Simbad Marina took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Astor Transito. Astor Transito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 63rd minute, Codruț Gafița hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Isac Nicoliță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Gafița came free, but Astor Transito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Tadzio. 69 minutes into the game, Isac Nicoliță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Astor Transito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goalkeeper Astor Transito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Nicoliță. Astor Transito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Costea in the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gaudencio Elia hit a great ball. Carpathians made a substitution. Alin Tătăruşanu replaced Gavril Olăroiu. After 79 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Elia. In the 80th minute of the match Codruț Gafița sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Astor Transito skillfully saved the ball. Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Tadzio in the 81st minute of play. Astor Transito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simbad Marina in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, RB Chubut's goal looked a bit too open when Simbad Marina came free, but Astor Transito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RB Chubut's Astor Transito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Crivoi in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Carpathians booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Petri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Nicoliță kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.

The RB Chubut fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carpathians were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
