Seating: 103, VIP seats: 9) Gellénháza's Pál Halász started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mero Menchaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Henric Viciola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Gellénháza's Valentin Kovács got control of the ball when Bartoli Bertiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartoli Bertiz in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Kovács prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gellénháza's Valentin Kovács proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Gellénháza from getting a goal against them. Bartoli Bertiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute, Gedeon Czakó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, Gellénháza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dömötör Tinódi to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Gellénháza's goalkeeper Valentin Kovács had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartoli Bertiz. In the 38th minute Jerardo Cazares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Kovács saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Róbert Pálinkás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes Gellénháza got a freekick which was hit by Vencel Vajda. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Kenesei during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartoli Bertiz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Zarando Robleda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gellénháza's Valentin Kovács was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valentin Kovács made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartoli Bertiz in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartoli Bertiz in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Kovács prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zarando Robleda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Valentin Kovács tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Real Medellín booed when Gellénháza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gedeon Czakó didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gellénháza getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Vencel Vajda hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Gellénháza's goal looked a bit too open when Zarando Robleda came free, but Valentin Kovács reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Bartoli Bertiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Balázs Megyeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pál Halász, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Jerardo Cazares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Kovács saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Dömötör Tinódi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Henric Viciola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartoli Bertiz in the 79th minute of play forced Gellénháza's goalkeeper Valentin Kovács to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Medellín's Zarando Robleda got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Real Medellín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Pál Halász scored to the left of an out of position Balázs Megyeri, making the score, 1-1. Zarando Robleda might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Kovács. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zarando Robleda ran back to his position shaking his head. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.
After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Gellénháza's Pál Halász started the play with the initial kick off. In the 99th minute, Real Medellín's Henric Viciola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Real Medellín were victorious despite being under pressure from Gellénháza for much of the match.
