After 5 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Algot Grönberg. Eric Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Degerfors IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Fernando Motta was slow to take the kick. During this time HollywooDogs's players had a chance to rest. HollywooDogs's Luiz Fernando Motta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eric Ivarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kristian Fogel kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Régis Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Eric Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Degerfors IF's Per-Åke Kjellqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigio Buffon. Gigio Buffon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With 16 minutes on the clock, Birger Kinnman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Degerfors IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HollywooDogs:s goal. Eric Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Batista in the 26th minute of the match. If Régis Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eric Ivarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Santana came free, but Eric Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The HollywooDogs fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when HollywooDogs's Régis Batista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eric Ivarsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulisses Leal's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Algot Grönberg got a free kick in the 37th minute. Eric Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulisses Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristian Fogel to make the kick off. The supporters of HollywooDogs booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Fogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Degerfors IF's Eric Ivarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Degerfors IF from getting a goal against them. HollywooDogs's Gil Bastos was substituted for Luiz Fernando Motta. HollywooDogs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sidnei Xavier in the 64th minute. Adrian Tunström tried in the 64th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Eric Ivarsson a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-3. Eric Ivarsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Per-Åke Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigio Buffon having to interfere. Eric Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Batista in the 87th minute of play. Eric Ivarsson made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Régis Batista sent off a good shot on target. Eric Ivarsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Régis Batista went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Ricardo Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eric Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HollywooDogs eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
