Tiago Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Gilabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kiko Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Buba Seco in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Dorian Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gualterio Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute of the match, Kléber Cavalcante got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kiko Passos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Conrado Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, E.C. Água Santa's Conrado Antunes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Gualterio Gilabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Gilabert came free, but Tiago Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Gualterio Gilabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kléber Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Passos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Gilabert in the 47th minute of play forced São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

53 minutes into the game, Gualterio Gilabert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tiago Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th minute, Gualterio Gilabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Kiko Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romildo Pratti, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Gualterio Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. São Paulo F.C.'s Tiago Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Gilabert in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Gualterio Gilabert notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of São Paulo F.C.'s Tiago Godoi. Tiago Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kiko Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Cavalcante in the 76th minute of play. If Gualterio Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Gualterio Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C. Água Santa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Gilabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiago Godoi made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Gualterio Gilabert sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Cavalcante in the 87th minute of play forced E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Kiko Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Gilabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Gilabert ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago Godoi was a little too slow when Gualterio Gilabert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. E.C. Água Santa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
