The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Castanheiro SC's Anísio Alagoano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Belasko but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 7th minute of play forced Galáctico Azul FC™'s goalkeeper Enrique Belasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Belasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Dionísio in the 8th minute of play. Enrique Belasko was a little too slow when Benedito Mineiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 20th minute Benedito Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrinho Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Vincent's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Galáctico Azul FC™'s Gaspar Magdaleno in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castanheiro SC's goalie prevented a goal. Umberto Dionísio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Belasko came out and tried to block the shot, but Umberto Dionísio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute Generoso Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Benedito Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Galáctico Azul FC™'s Alfredo Xabel got a free kick in the 47th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Anísio Alagoano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto Dionísio to strike the kick off in the second half. Enrique Belasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Alagoano in the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Nilson Veloso notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Galáctico Azul FC™'s Enrique Belasko. Enrique Belasko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Alfredo Xabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento was substituted for Anísio Alagoano. Galáctico Azul FC™ made a substitution. Casimiro Ellande replaced Gaspar Magdaleno. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger was substituted for Magno Pereira. In the 62nd minute, Alfredo Xabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Galáctico Azul FC™ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Alfredo Xabel hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galáctico Azul FC™'s zone, Luisinho Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Belasko came out of the goal and Luisinho Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Benedito Mineiro made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Belasko was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Serafim Cearense got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Galáctico Azul FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Michael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Belasko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Mineiro went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. If Umberto Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Rainerio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Enrique Belasko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Dionísio scored 6-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Belasko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Galáctico Azul FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Michael didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Castanheiro SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Galáctico Azul FC™ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
