Magno Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Eufrasio in the 13th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Luisinho Seco got a free kick in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Umberto Dionísio put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Severiano Santo. Severiano Santo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto Dionísio went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Dionísio came free, but Severiano Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Umberto Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Uriel Etxekopar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amboy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Amboy FC's Severiano Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Orlondon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Umberto Dionísio made the kick off in the second half. Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento was substituted for Anísio Alagoano. Gaspar Milio kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Severiano Santo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Benedito Mineiro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Orlondon during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Severino Orlondon kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Modesto Eufrasio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedrinho Guimarães having to make a save. In the 64th match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Orlondon to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Edinho Pirani made a precise shot to the right of Severiano Santo. Amboy FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Sarmento came free, but Severiano Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mauro Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Umberto Dionísio got free with Severiano Santo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Benedito Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severiano Santo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 85 in the game by Umberto Dionísio from a close distance when the talented Severiano Santo managed to make a qualified save. Amboy FC's players were relieved. When Gaspar Milio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amboy FC's protests and gave Gaspar Milio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Milio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 93 minutes on the clock, Clemente Cardozo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Amboy FC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Modesto Eufrasio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães. 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Castanheiro SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
