The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Mijdrecht Maffia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Buring didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Nilson Veloso fired a really elegant long shot, but Tom Carels threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Mijdrecht Maffia's Tom Carels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Alagoano in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Alagoano came free, but Tom Carels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douwe van den Bergh struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Pedrinho Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mijdrecht Maffia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Dionísio in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tom Carels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Luisinho Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Carels was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Umberto Dionísio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Umberto Dionísio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douwe van den Bergh during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mijdrecht Maffia's Tom Carels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Mauro Sarmento notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Mijdrecht Maffia's Tom Carels. Tom Carels was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
