Luiz Guilherme Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olav Voormansik in the 18th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olav Voormansik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Olav Voormansik came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vuntsidega Vägimehed booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörg Hannemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Vuntsidega Vägimehed's Olav Voormansik made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Zé Paulo da Silva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 37 minutes into the match, Vuntsidega Vägimehed's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Luiz Guilherme Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
