The tension between the U21 Denmark and the U21 Poland players grew even worse after the yellow card. The corner ended in Rune Perlstrøm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Poland's Gigi Buffon did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Vøge in the 27th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Chiesa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Klysnov having to interfere. Er Håland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Einar Klysnov having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Er Håland in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Klysnov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of U21 Denmark booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Chiesa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Rune Perlstrøm sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigi Buffon skillfully saved the ball. Einar Klysnov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Er Håland, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Er Håland made a kick off. When Er Håland came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the U21 Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Er Håland couldn't finish the play. U21 Poland made a substitution. Radowit Kissel replaced Federico Chiesa. U21 Poland made a substitution. Jakub Kuszczak replaced Er Håland. In the 72ndth minute of the game Jakub Kuszczak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Denmark's Einar Klysnov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stor Back's late challenge caught a U21 Poland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stor Back helped the player get up and apologised. Jakub Kuszczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Einar Klysnov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Kuszczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jakub Kuszczak came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the U21 Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakub Kuszczak couldn't finish the play. When Black Remi fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Poland's protests and gave Black Remi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Black Remi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rikard Træden in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Buffon saved U21 Poland from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Rikard Træden put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gigi Buffon. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Poland fully deserved thier win.
