The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nelson Insfrán made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charlton McDonough in the 5th minute. Reed Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Urbina in the 7th minute of the match. Werner Uhl kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Uhl in the 12th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Reed Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reed Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wally Urbina in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of EL LOBO DE MIAMI booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russell Stinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Nelson Insfrán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Knapp in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, ForestFire's Zachariah Barth seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zachariah Barth the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ForestFire protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zachariah Barth had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 23rd minute, one of ForestFire:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ForestFire. Reed Molina had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Ernest Knowles's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the ForestFire defense, Ernest Knowles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reed Molina. The ForestFire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reed Molina should have stopped the shot. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Wally Urbina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 36 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Uhl came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Werner Uhl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ForestFire's Reed Molina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Werner Uhl scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reed Molina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 45 minutes, Charlton McDonough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ForestFire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlton McDonough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally Urbina to strike the kick off in the second half. Reed Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wally Urbina in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Lamar Knapp notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Nelson Insfrán. Nelson Insfrán was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Wally Urbina came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wally Urbina couldn't finish the play. Nelson Insfrán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Knapp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Insfrán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlton McDonough, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the EL LOBO DE MIAMI defense, Tad Sierra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Insfrán. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Insfrán should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tad Sierra in the 77th minute of play forced EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper Nelson Insfrán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ForestFire's zone, Rob Singer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reed Molina came out of the goal and Rob Singer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlton McDonough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Charlton McDonough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Insfrán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Lamar Knapp managed to get in a good position for a shot. ForestFire's supporters rose to their feet, but Lamar Knapp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Insfrán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rob Singer kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charlton McDonough in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Insfrán saved EL LOBO DE MIAMI from getting behind. After 92 played minutes EL LOBO DE MIAMI got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Booker. After a defensive mix-up in EL LOBO DE MIAMI's zone, Brad Brock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Insfrán came out of the goal and Brad Brock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Insfrán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Brock in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute ForestFire were awarded a corner. Brad Brock went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on ForestFire's corner Brad Brock fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nelson Insfrán quite easily take care of the ball.

When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ForestFire lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
