Honorio Tabor took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godofredo Malvin. Godofredo Malvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Hermosillo FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Hermosillo FC's Honorio Tabor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22nd minute, Amador Eneko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godofredo Malvin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 29th minute, Rigoberto Uhin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Honorio Tabor notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of ORIZABA F.C.'s Godofredo Malvin. Godofredo Malvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernabe Peruxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Txema's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Victorio Norino got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Hermosillo FC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorio Tabor to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Eneko in the 59th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Godofredo Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon George came free, but Bernabe Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, ORIZABA F.C.'s Godofredo Malvin got control of the ball when Amador Eneko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernabe Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Txema, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Dante Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Peruxu having to interfere. When Rigoberto Uhin fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermosillo FC's protests and gave Rigoberto Uhin a yellow card for diving instead. Rigoberto Uhin hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Amador Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Honorio Tabor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Godofredo Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Toli, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ramon George hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 minutes, Honorio Tabor made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. ORIZABA F.C.'s Godofredo Malvin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hermosillo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
