The supporters of Belo Academy booed when AMÉRICA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Travassos in the 16th minute of play forced AMÉRICA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oséas Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Dantas in the 38th minute of play forced AMÉRICA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oséas Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Isaltino Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belo Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, Belo Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Calixto came free, but Luís Eduardo Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
