In the 17thth minute of the game Bala Mole who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Átomo F.C.'s Dorival Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Igor Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When William Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos da Bahia Fc's protests and gave William Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santos da Bahia Fc getting a freekick after 27 minutes play.
