Bahia's players were relieved. 6 minutes into the match, Tserel's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Bertassi came free, but Lykomedes Ioannidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Rosario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bahia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Erasmo Rosario scored to the left of an out of position José Augusto Alcântara, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Tserel's Antti Laaniste got a free kick in the 20th minute. Lykomedes Ioannidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Bertassi in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Erasmo Rosario lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated José Augusto Alcântara. With a little luck, Bahia's José Augusto Alcântara got control of the ball when Zachary Oleszak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erasmo Rosario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but José Augusto Alcântara made a huge save. José Augusto Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Rosario in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Claus Vandewalle. In the 32nd minute, Zachary Oleszak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tserel's Erasmo Rosario got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Erasmo Rosario put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of José Augusto Alcântara. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Bertassi to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Erasmo Rosario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahia's José Augusto Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute Waldemar Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lykomedes Ioannidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Percy Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Rosario in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erasmo Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Alcântara having to interfere. When Tserel's Erasmo Rosario in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bahia's goalie prevented a goal. Bahia's José Augusto Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Rosario in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Tserel got a freekick which was hit by Vambola Kasemägi. Erasmo Rosario struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. José Augusto Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tserel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Rosario in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Rosario in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Augusto Alcântara saved Bahia from getting behind. Erasmo Rosario took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Augusto Alcântara. José Augusto Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 96th minute, Percy Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Zachary Oleszak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tserel's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachary Oleszak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Augusto Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tserel had won after a very even match.
