In the 12th minute Pedro Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Confesor in the 18th minute. Jimeno Ospetsu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Aquiles Argina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Benedicto Duarte made a huge save. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Natalio Elivareo hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Natalio Elivareo in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vélez Juniors's Fidel Pietro. In the 41st minute, Arnulfo Confesor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Manuel Ekain in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vélez Juniors's Fidel Pietro.

Placido Lia struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ulises Sandaili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alzaga FC. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Ulises Cristofol replaced Tomás Bordat. Alzaga FC's Placido Lia got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Salamon charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Salamon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Salamon hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Benedicto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Confesor in the 70th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alzaga FC's Placido Lia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulises Sandaili. That made the score 1-1 after 75 minutes of play. Placido Lia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulises Sandaili came out and tried to block the shot, but Placido Lia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 79th minute. Arnulfo Confesor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Arnulfo Confesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Lluterio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Pedro Salamon got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Alzaga FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alzaga FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
