Abel Avetisyan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 8thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jan-Erik Spetz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Brian McKinney's late challenge caught a Vännäsby BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brian McKinney helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Khachatryan getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Brian McKinney hit a great ball. Levon Sarkisyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Buhrmann in the 26th minute of the match. Khachatryan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardo Caballero in the 29th minute. Levon Sarkisyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Kallstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Arin Mndoyants dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jan-Erik Spetz, 1-0. Levon Sarkisyan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Kallstrøm in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Khachatryan getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Brian McKinney hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Mario Buhrmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levon Sarkisyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Mario Buhrmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Levon Sarkisyan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arin Mndoyants to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Vännäsby BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Albom to maneuver through the defense. Hu Wei Shu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jan-Erik Spetz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khachatryan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Buhrmann in the 53rd minute of play forced Khachatryan's goalkeeper Levon Sarkisyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Khachatryan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mosab Al Mansor was slow to take the kick. During this time Vännäsby BF's players had a chance to rest. If Abel Avetisyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khachatryan made a substitution. Grigor Grigoryan replaced Arin Mndoyants. Khachatryan's Levon Sarkisyan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Khachatryan from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute Grigor Grigoryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Vännäsby BF's Mario Buhrmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Levon Sarkisyan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Vännäsby BF made a substitution. Hilario Chus replaced Benjamin Kinnman. The Khachatryan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Kim Kallstrøm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Levon Sarkisyan made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigor Grigoryan in the 85th minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Spetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Khachatryan got a freekick which was hit by Brian McKinney. Hilario Chus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Caballero got free with Jan-Erik Spetz in the 107th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Khachatryan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
