Emanuel Bazinet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Halim Aban, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antoine Norton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hafiz Romad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Tripp to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Líbano getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Anwar Yasem hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Art Solomon during the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Antoine Norton took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hafiz Romad to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antoine Norton to make the kick off. Hafiz Romad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Norton in the 56th minute of play. Emanuel Bazinet made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Anwar Yasem sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Norton in the 68th minute of play forced Líbano's goalkeeper Hafiz Romad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jared Temple was substituted for Giuseppe Xiong. After having played for 77 minutes, Antoine Norton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antoine Norton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emanuel Bazinet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Lisboa e Benfica from getting a goal against them. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emanuel Bazinet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anwar Yasem in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Leonard Oborski got a free kick in the 87th minute. Andreas Tripp's late challenge caught a Líbano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Tripp helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Tripp to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were victorious despite being under pressure from Líbano for much of the match.
