After a defensive mix-up in Revolución Joao FC's zone, Carolo Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Ahonen came out of the goal and Carolo Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Hílton Salles made a precise shot to the right of Joel Ahonen. Revolución Joao FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Revolución Joao FC's goalkeeper Joel Ahonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hílton Salles. In the 14th minute, El Torero's Carolo Lorenz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Joel Ahonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Lorenz in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Revolución Joao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Jakes to maneuver through the defense. Burbano Charro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 minutes, Benedicto Matteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Torero and the Revolución Joao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osvaldo Somoza was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hílton Salles to make the kick off. Sergio Goycochea made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Osvaldo Somoza sent off a good shot on target. Aureliano Rocendo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Rocendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Revolución Joao FC booed when El Torero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Rocendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Ahonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Burbano Charro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Ahonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Salles in the 84th minute of the match. Sergio Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Carolo Lorenz managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Torero's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Lorenz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Ahonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the El Torero players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
