The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patrick Hanselmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Gutierrez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas Caduff who took care of the corner kick. Dominik Klaus kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jeremias Gutierrez made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Patrick Hanselmann sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 12 minutes, Patrick Hanselmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liechtenstein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Hanselmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Liechtenstein booed when GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gradimir Juraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Ludomir Betonowy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Josef Zurflüh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Patrick Hanselmann scored to the left of an out of position Jeremias Gutierrez, making the score, 1-0. In the 24th minute Patrick Hanselmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Patrick Hanselmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeremias Gutierrez. Patrick Hanselmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Liechtenstein's Patrick Hanselmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Liechtenstein's Patrick Hanselmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremias Gutierrez. That made the score 5-0 after 39 minutes of play. Jeremias Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Hanselmann in the 43rd minute of play. Ludomir Betonowy kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Patrick Hanselmann rounded GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 6-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludomir Betonowy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Hanselmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Hanselmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Hanselmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Gutierrez having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalkeeper Jeremias Gutierrez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Caduff was slow to take the kick. During this time Liechtenstein's players had a chance to rest. Liechtenstein made a substitution. Lukas Kathan replaced Dominik Klaus. In the 65th minute, Gradimir Juraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Patrick Hanselmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukas Kathan in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Gutierrez saved GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ from getting behind. Jacob Josef Zurflüh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Šimunko, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jeremias Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Hanselmann in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Kathan in the 74th minute of play forced GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalkeeper Jeremias Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismaele Santo Schurti made a great header on Liechtenstein's corner, it was just that GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Jeremias Gutierrez managed to reach the ball for a save. Lukas Kathan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jeremias Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismaele Santo Schurti in the 79th minute of play. Bruno Šimunko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Josef Zurflüh having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Patrick Hanselmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Liechtenstein were awarded a corner. Lucas Caduff went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Liechtenstein's Lukas Domuzeti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 90th minute Lukas Kathan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Liechtenstein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismaele Santo Schurti to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ got a freekick which was hit by Boris Burkhart. When the referee ended the match the Liechtenstein players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
