Víktor Freire came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 13th minute of the match. ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Ibirama Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Feng Ting Chong took the corner. With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa got control of the ball when Roger Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Víktor Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Ting Chong in the 48th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deilmison van Basten made a great header on ATHLETICO PRaiano's corner, it was just that Ibirama Futebol Clube's Víktor Freire managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaétan Govou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Víktor Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Ibirama Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Víktor Freire. That made the score 0-5 after 86 minutes of play. Víktor Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deilmison van Basten's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Víktor Freire stood somewhat misplaced when Deilmison van Basten came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 96 minute.
The ATHLETICO PRaiano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ATHLETICO PRaiano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
