Laerte Torres made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabrício Jardel immediately put the ball in play. 22 minutes into the game, Lupere FC's Fabrício Jardel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emmanuel Dandy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alfredinho Corrêa made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabrício Jardel immediately put the ball in play. 27 minutes into the match, BLACK STAR FC's 忠 许褚 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Valadares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, BLACK STAR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Jardel came free, but Emmanuel Dandy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Guto Moraes with Fabrício Jardel as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabrício Jardel to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupere FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BLACK STAR FC the free kick. A collision led to Lupere FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Carlinhos Azevedo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, BLACK STAR FC's Lucien Ratté tried to score from far away in the 51st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Fabrício Jardel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Lupere FC's goal looked a bit too open when 忠 许褚 came free, but Telmo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BLACK STAR FC made a substitution. Marcelo de Mendonça replaced Lucien Ratté. The supporters of Lupere FC booed when BLACK STAR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Orange didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 忠 许褚 in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Valadares saved Lupere FC from getting behind. 忠 许褚 might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 忠 许褚 ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rdth minute of the game 忠 许褚 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupere FC's Telmo Valadares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 忠 许褚's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Valadares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Fabrício Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 忠 许褚 in the 94th minute of play forced Lupere FC's goalkeeper Telmo Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eduardo Paraense fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupere FC's protests and gave Eduardo Paraense a yellow card for diving instead.

BLACK STAR FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
