An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 3rd minute of play forced Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goalkeeper Filiberto Sancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Valdomiro Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdomiro Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Futebol Clube's Paul Christini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Edson Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Matos came free, but Paul Christini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Augusto Consalvi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Paul Christini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute Augusto Consalvi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Edson Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Pernambucano. Paul Christini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roegelio Igual in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Valdomiro Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Augusto Consalvi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edson Futebol Clube's Paul Christini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Filiberto Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Matos came free, but Paul Christini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Christini was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Augusto Consalvi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Consalvi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 38th match minute, Edson Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Richard Velits hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fontes came free, but Filiberto Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Christini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Matos in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Edson Futebol Clube's Dorian Sena got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Betinho Damião made the kick off in the second half. Paul Christini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marino Montrelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Paul Christini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Matos in the 52nd minute of play. Filiberto Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Karkantos in the 54th minute of the match. Filiberto Sancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Karkantos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Filiberto Sancho got control of the ball when Betinho Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Panos Karkantos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Edson Futebol Clube's Panos Karkantos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filiberto Sancho. That made the score 2-2 after 73 minutes of play. Paul Christini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marino Montrelle in the 80th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Edson Futebol Clube defense, Tom-Lukas Queraria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Christini. The Edson Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Christini should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Tom-Lukas Queraria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Christini. Edson Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tom-Lukas Queraria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Paul Christini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marino Montrelle's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Tom-Lukas Queraria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Paul Christini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Edson Futebol Clube booed when Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marino Montrelle didn't get a good kick on the ball.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Edson Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER.
