Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hong Unge in the 38th minute of play. U21 Sweden's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Torbjörn Nilsson in the 39th minute. Ronnie Meck made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Fernan Berart sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes, U21 Sweden's Torbjörn Nilsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
