An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Johnsson in the 9th minute of play forced Czarni 44 Szczecin's goalkeeper Zenon Cipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Olov Johnsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zenon Cipinski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zenon Cipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Johnsson in the 16th minute of the match. Carl-Chester Vallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylwester Sokol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by VBL Stockholm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arkadiusz Czerniak was slow to take the kick. During this time Czarni 44 Szczecin's players had a chance to rest. Olov Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute Olov Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Cipinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Bury came free, but Carl-Chester Vallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Cipinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olov Johnsson in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Olov Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VBL Stockholm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Olov Johnsson sped through Czarni 44 Szczecin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zenon Cipinski. After a rather tough play, Czarni 44 Szczecin's Mariusz Majtyka got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Asko Kuul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VBL Stockholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asko Kuul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wlodzimierz Bury to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Olov Johnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zenon Cipinski was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Eerik Lilleorg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VBL Stockholm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. If Asko Kuul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olov Johnsson took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zenon Cipinski. Zenon Cipinski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After 74 played minutes Czarni 44 Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Majtyka. A sloppy throw-in by Mariusz Majtyka in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by VBL Stockholm's Christopher Lundgren. Olov Johnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Cipinski having to make a save. In the 77th minute Olov Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Cipinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Johnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zenon Cipinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Olov Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zenon Cipinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Bury, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Olov Johnsson scored 8-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zenon Cipinski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carl-Chester Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Bury in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Johnsson in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Cipinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Olov Johnsson made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Czarni 44 Szczecin's Zenon Cipinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that VBL Stockholm were the better team. VBL Stockholm's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
