East Tokyo United's Marcelo Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Novac in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in East Tokyo United's zone, Ernst Dahlquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Toribio came out of the goal and Ernst Dahlquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cayetano Silban hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Dahlquist in the 24th minute of play forced East Tokyo United's goalkeeper Marcelo Toribio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, East Tokyo United's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Novac came free, but Marcelo Toribio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes in the game, Silviu Novac dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Östen Hedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanek Bobrowski in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Silviu Novac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Robin Hood came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the East Tokyo United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Hood couldn't finish the play. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DIF LEEDS BK! 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by DIF LEEDS BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arsenio Tibalt was slow to take the kick. During this time East Tokyo United's players had a chance to rest. When Armando Nicolini came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the East Tokyo United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Nicolini couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51stth minute of the game Östen Hedin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Tokyo United's Marcelo Toribio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brazilio Butt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Nicolini in the 53rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernst Dahlquist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcelo Toribio. That made the score 0-1 in the 56 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Marcelo Toribio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 62 played minutes DIF LEEDS BK got a freekick which was hit by Dan Verhoeven. East Tokyo United's Marcelo Toribio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save East Tokyo United from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanek Bobrowski in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Toribio saved East Tokyo United from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silviu Novac in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Toribio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Östen Hedin in the 83rd minute of play forced East Tokyo United's goalkeeper Marcelo Toribio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rivaldo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brazilio Butt having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Silviu Novac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Toribio was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Marcelo Toribio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when DIF LEEDS BK's Silviu Novac shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DIF LEEDS BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
