Los Laguneros de AT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Tesone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Polo Quinteros scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simon Hori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Tesone to make the kick off. He Yang made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kazimierz Patora. Florentino Herauso came out of the goal and Nestor Tesone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santa Lucia de Merlo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
