Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Krišjānis Ābeļnieks started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alejandro Espina might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Kochowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejandro Espina ran back to his position shaking his head. 5 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Espina came free, but Alfred Kochowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barcelona de América's Emanuel Mammana got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Espina in the 13th minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Alfred Kochowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnny Ibarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perlaza Lena in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Barcelona de América got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Perlaza Lena ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Barcelona de América's Félix Torres to fire away a dangerous shot which Johnny Ibarra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Johnny Ibarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krišjānis Ābeļnieks in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krišjānis Ābeļnieks in the 23rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Johnny Ibarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Alejandro Espina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfred Kochowski, 1-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Alejandro Espina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Espina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krišjānis Ābeļnieks in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Ibarra saved Ecuador from getting behind. Alejandro Espina took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Kochowski. Alfred Kochowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 44th minute, Ortiz Apellaniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes, Barcelona de América's Perlaza Lena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johnny Ibarra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barcelona de América reached it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Espina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zayvion Ispuzua came free, but Johnny Ibarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona de América's zone, Alejandro Espina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Kochowski came out of the goal and Alejandro Espina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barcelona de América made a substitution. Juan Guerrero replaced Eraldo Pittelli. Ecuador made a substitution. Angel Mena replaced Xaiver Jacolet. Alfred Kochowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Espina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77thth minute of the game Alejandro Espina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelona de América's Alfred Kochowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johnny Ibarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zayvion Ispuzua in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Guerrero who took care of the corner kick. Alfred Kochowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Espina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Juan Guerrero notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ecuador's Johnny Ibarra. Johnny Ibarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Barcelona de América for a fine match.
