The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when minerul -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Bulencea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grigore Tinu's late challenge caught a FC Cosula-BTF-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grigore Tinu helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes minerul -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Tinu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remus Milescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Bogdan Paveliuc dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. minerul -MM-'s Sandu Codruț proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save minerul -MM- from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, minerul -MM-'s Sandu Codruț got control of the ball when Bogdan Paveliuc tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 minutes, Nicu Poplăcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the minerul -MM- and the FC Cosula-BTF- players grew even worse after the yellow card.
