Boguslaw Siwek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Macedo in the 16th minute of play. Powiśle Warszawa's Boguslaw Siwek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Powiśle Warszawa from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Alex Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boguslaw Siwek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Teobald Turek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Powiśle Warszawa and the Korona Kielce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Boguslaw Siwek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korona Kielce. Miroslaw Blochowiak made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Korona Kielce's Ray Atkins. The supporters of Powiśle Warszawa booed when Korona Kielce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Atkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
