After a defensive mix-up in VERDOLAGA CITY FC's zone, Xamin Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazario Forcat came out of the goal and Xamin Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, R.B Leipzig's Sotero Villalva seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sotero Villalva the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of R.B Leipzig protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sotero Villalva had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for R.B Leipzig! R.B Leipzig's Vellito Terrilla was substituted for Alvarez Troconiz. In the 17th match minute, VERDOLAGA CITY FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gutierrre Camacho to maneuver through the defense. Haimar Traves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terciero Orantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Perfecto Ascargorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Bertran Unzueta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Nazario Forcat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firmo Tigero in the 35th minute of play. Eyague Bergues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haimar Traves having to interfere. In the 41st minute Vellito Terrilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazario Forcat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goalkeeper Nazario Forcat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Firmo Tigero. In the 47th minute, Vellito Terrilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nazario Forcat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vellito Terrilla to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, R.B Leipzig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertran Unzueta to maneuver through the defense. Idacio Llopiz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firmo Tigero in the 58th minute of play forced VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goalkeeper Nazario Forcat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terciero Orantes in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Haimar Traves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of R.B Leipzig booed when VERDOLAGA CITY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idacio Llopiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 played minutes VERDOLAGA CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Gutierrre Camacho. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Nazario Forcat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firmo Tigero in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efrain Caballero got free with Haimar Traves in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvarez Arredondo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Efrain Caballero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. R.B Leipzig's Haimar Traves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save R.B Leipzig from getting a goal against them. If Efrain Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Gutierrre Camacho got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nazario Forcat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firmo Tigero, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Firmo Tigero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VERDOLAGA CITY FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
