The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nunez Musko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Pelayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Musko in the 16th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuele Passalacqua kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Ramond in the 19th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Ascencio Sotelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Belmiro in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ascencio Sotelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ascencio Sotelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Geangu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Gastres FC's Pedro Pelayo got control of the ball when Dolfos Acuña tried to sneak it across the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Gastres FC's Jorge Quiroga tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Penuel Football Club defense, Teobaldo Belmiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ascencio Sotelo. The Penuel Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ascencio Sotelo should have stopped the shot. Ascencio Sotelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 35th minute of play. Eddy Ginanjar got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Teobaldo Belmiro. Penuel Football Club's Ascencio Sotelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Geangu in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Gastres FC got a corner. Penuel Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Quiroga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Göran Nyström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Penuel Football Club's Ascencio Sotelo did a great save. Teobaldo Belmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Nunez Musko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penuel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Musko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Pelayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gastres FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Göran Nyström hit a great ball. After the first half Gastres FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuele Passalacqua was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Nunez Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Belmiro didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-2 via right post in the game's 57th minute. Gastres FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Penuel Football Club's Ascencio Sotelo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Penuel Football Club from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Belmiro in the 67th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Ascencio Sotelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ascencio Sotelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Ramond in the 70th minute of play. Teobaldo Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ascencio Sotelo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Yu Jing Kun got a free kick in the 81st minute. The audience was convinced that Chen Shi Ran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Pelayo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Yu Jing Kun kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Felix Varioz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Ascencio Sotelo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Quiroga. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Ascencio Sotelo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Penuel Football Club's Chen Shi Ran. But to his dismay, Chen Shi Ran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gastres FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
