Maximo Segio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benito Naldo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Berbiz saved C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL from getting behind. Benito Naldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Berbiz having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Naldo came free, but Armando Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Madison fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Madison's Benito Naldo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Madison's Severiano Rafe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Madison from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Segio to make the kick off. Madison's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Naldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Berbiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Maximo Segio hit a great ball. Severiano Rafe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL's Armando Berbiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save C. A. DEPORTIVO NAHUEL from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernabe Dalmau got free with Armando Berbiz in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Madison supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Madison would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
