Robin Olsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Eduard Polozov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santo Amaro AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Haymakers FC's Egil Byström got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jim Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haymakers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hudson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Håkansson in the 58th minute of play. Jim Håkansson had several of the Santo Amaro AC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Hudson Arósio as he didn't even see the shot coming. With an all-out effort, Haymakers FC's Hudson Arósio threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jim Håkansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 68 minutes Santo Amaro AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Víkingur Bastarda who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Víkingur Bastarda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hudson Arósio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 69 minutes, Tommy Malm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haymakers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Malm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santo Amaro AC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Víkingur Bastarda was slow to take the kick. During this time Haymakers FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 73rd minute Wincent Pawlik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Olsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes Santo Amaro AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Víkingur Bastarda who took care of the corner kick. Hudson Arósio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jim Håkansson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 92 minute of play. If Jim Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Haymakers FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
