In the 7th minute Cristinel Bocaneț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barışcan Yazargil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Iustin Chificeac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barışcan Yazargil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Barışcan Yazargil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Uncescu in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, MIT Craiova's Remus Pinczewski got control of the ball when Ahmet Refik İribaş tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Baysal Vezir in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Chificeac in the 23rd minute of play forced ZENO's goalkeeper Barışcan Yazargil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MIT Craiova fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when MIT Craiova's Iustin Chificeac looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iustin Chificeac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barışcan Yazargil having to interfere. Iustin Chificeac struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Barışcan Yazargil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MIT Craiova. Aron Uncescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Barışcan Yazargil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half MIT Craiova were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Turan Ocak to strike the kick off in the second half. Barışcan Yazargil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Chificeac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iustin Chificeac could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Barışcan Yazargil made a huge save. Barışcan Yazargil was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Iustin Chificeac capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iustin Chificeac really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Andrei Opincaru hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, ZENO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aydemir Kutam to maneuver through the defense. Iustin Chificeac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A well placed Iustin Chificeac short distance shot in the 81st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross.
