In the 22ndth minute of the game Blas Urtungo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions United's Gillis Heirremans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lions United's zone, Blas Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gillis Heirremans came out of the goal and Blas Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gillis Heirremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Urtungo in the 25th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, Inter Miami CF's Blas Urtungo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gillis Heirremans was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Inter Miami CF getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Tom Misaki hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Blas Urtungo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gillis Heirremans was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 77 minutes, Andris Van den Haute mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions United and the Inter Miami CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Lions United got a freekick which was hit by Andris Van den Haute. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Kobe Parmentier got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lions United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gillis Heirremans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Urtungo in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Robbrecht Valcke got a free kick in the 90th minute. Blas Urtungo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gillis Heirremans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Miami CF. Inter Miami CF played a much better game than Lions United and deserved their victory. The Lions United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
