Club Atletico Lanus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mustafa Juodis ran over to the corner to take the kick. FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Juodis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafael Tano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Lanus's Alejo Bastia got a free kick in the 26th minute. Sigitas Ivoška's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rafael Tano firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the FK Mintis Vilnius defense, Nereo Diaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Kemal. The FK Mintis Vilnius fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Kemal should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Juodis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Sixto Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After 52 minutes, Leonides Orlondon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Lanus and the FK Mintis Vilnius players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 minutes Club Atletico Lanus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mustafa Juodis who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Mustafa Juodis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atletico Lanus's Rafael Tano did a great save. In the 68th match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenijus Gureckas to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes Guaberto Bidun scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Mustafa Kemal who was too lazy, 3-2. 75 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Eli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mustafa Kemal. FK Mintis Vilnius's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Eli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The supporters of FK Mintis Vilnius booed when Club Atletico Lanus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Eli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaberto Bidun ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atletico Lanus players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
