After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Ulysses de Senna got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Al-Fajuth's Sandro Maciel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sandro Maciel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Al-Fajuth protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sandro Maciel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Al-Fajuth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AO BEKIANIKA:s goal. Yuri Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argyris Kazakos in the 26th minute of play. Sotos Thanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogenis Kaketsis's late challenge caught a Al-Fajuth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogenis Kaketsis helped the player get up and apologised. Diogenis Kaketsis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Horácio Gonçalves rounded AO BEKIANIKA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Al-Fajuth's Timeteo Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when AO BEKIANIKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogenis Kaketsis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Horácio Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Horácio Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to AO BEKIANIKA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Miltiadis Argyropoulos hit a great ball. Horácio Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sotos Thanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Sotos Thanos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Fajuth. Vassilis Vlastaridis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Yuri Quirino made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Horácio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al-Fajuth's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sotos Thanos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino got control of the ball when Sokratis Loukanidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timeteo Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sotos Thanos having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Al-Fajuth fans cheered their team off the field, for while AO BEKIANIKA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
