The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Erasto during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Froilan Pasqual came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Cristiano Mota. But to his dismay, Cristiano Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Renan da Mata came free, but Froilan Pasqual reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute of the match, Paolo Beila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo-Roberto Falcão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Lionel Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Messias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Pasqual breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Trindade Atlético Club booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Ekaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Kiko Cearense made a precise shot to the right of Froilan Pasqual. Club Atlético Temperley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 29th minute, Kiko Cearense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Kiko Cearense scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Pasqual, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paolo Beila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Paulo-Roberto Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paolo Beila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo-Roberto Falcão having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Trindade Atlético Club's Frederico Barral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 58 minutes into the game, Cristiano Mota recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Pasqual. Cristiano Mota showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. In the 60th match minute, Trindade Atlético Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan da Mata to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Isidoro Corderun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Froilan Pasqual showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan da Mata in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Trindade Atlético Club booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 77th minute Germano do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Pasqual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Erasto was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Carlos Erasto hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Juninho Zanette from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Froilan Pasqual's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Isidoro Corderun hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Germano do Vale succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 83rd playminute. Frederico Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Pasqual having to interfere. Froilan Pasqual made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Messias in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Lionel Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trindade Atlético Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Trindade Atlético Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
