Zemario Pi started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Yuri Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Trianes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 7th minute Bernardino Burgueño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zemario Pi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ángel Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zemario Pi in the 16th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Dênis Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Espigão Steamrollers's zone, Ur Marfa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Paulista came out of the goal and Ur Marfa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Edu Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dênis Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ur Marfa in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Bernardino Burgueño notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Espigão Steamrollers's Dênis Paulista. Dênis Paulista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hermengildo Trianes made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Yuri Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. After 27 minutes, Geraldo Salcines mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FERRABARCA FC and the Espigão Steamrollers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermengildo Trianes was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After 43 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Paranaense. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when FERRABARCA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Valines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuri Paranaense made a kick off. FERRABARCA FC's Hermengildo Trianes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ángel Romero in the 52nd minute of play. Bernardino Burgueño hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Hermengildo Trianes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Carneiro in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Ur Marfa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dênis Paulista. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Dênis Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardino Burgueño hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Zemario Pi fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FERRABARCA FC's protests and gave Zemario Pi a yellow card for diving instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the FERRABARCA FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Espigão Steamrollers.
