Fábio Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gaspar Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Aveiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Linhares couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Gaspar Linhares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aveiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Linhares was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albérico Lameiras got free with Arí de Lara in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute Aveiro FC were awarded a corner. Sálvio Palha went to the cornerflag to take it. Alípio Magalhães made a great header on Aveiro FC's corner, it was just that S.C.CHUÍ's Arí de Lara managed to reach the ball for a save.
