Juan Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the match, UFC Puturoasa's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Catarinense came free, but Carlos Alberto Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Musteatã in the 9th minute of play. If Tadeusz Pracki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Musteatã in the 12th minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Sandu Musteatã who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Juan Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Emil Scobioalã left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Puturoasa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Sandu Musteatã ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Oranil's Juan Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Musteatã in the 27th minute of play. Sandu Musteatã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 31 minutes, Sandu Musteatã managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Puturoasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Musteatã was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Tadeusz Pracki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42nd play minutes Emil Scobioalã shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Juan Velloso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 47th minute Emil Scobioalã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Scobioalã, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Giuseppe Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Pracki in the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Proença. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Alexei Caraman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Velloso came out of the goal and Alexei Caraman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Velloso came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Puturoasa's Emil Scobioalã. But to his dismay, Emil Scobioalã quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. UFC Puturoasa's Sandu Musteatã got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Velloso was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Emil Scobioalã capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emil Scobioalã really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. After 81 minutes Oranil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giuseppe Salles who took care of the corner kick. In the last second Juan Velloso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Emil Scobioalã in the 85thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Scobioalã. Oranil were furious when Giovani Viana was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oranil fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, UFC Puturoasa's Emil Scobioalã got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Juan Velloso. 95 minutes into the game, Moisés de Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oranil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC Puturoasa the free kick.
