A collision led to E.C.Pelotas getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rui Prado hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Luke Modrić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute Luke Modrić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Cura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Cura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Tande in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Luke Modrić made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Cura. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in E.C.Pelotas reached it. Zaquiel Coracera hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Luizinho de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franklin Picardo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Alberto de Andrade shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Cura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Flavio Cura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Modrić in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Modrić came free, but Flavio Cura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Tasso in the 41st minute of play forced GALACTICOS's goalkeeper Flavio Cura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Luke Modrić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Cura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cuero Cepa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, E.C.Pelotas's Durval Tande made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Cura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Cura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Tasso in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Luizinho de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. E.C.Pelotas's Giovanni Meireles was substituted for Alberto de Andrade. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cuero Cepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Wilfredo Castroviejo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's goalkeeper Flavio Cura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luizinho de Senna. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Fikret Yürükoğlu got free with Flavio Cura in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Tasso scored 0-6 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Cura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, E.C.Pelotas's Suárez Messi got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flavio Cura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Tasso in the 90th minute of the match. Flavio Cura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Suárez Messi went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded E.C.Pelotas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GALACTICOS.
