In the 18th minute Dráuzio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Conklin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapa Athlétic™'s Ferdinand Conklin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Ramos in the 26th minute of play. If Eedi Viksi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Alfa FC defense, Heino Vahar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Buffon. The Alfa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Buffon should have stopped the shot. Alfa FC's Gerald Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alo Remme in the 39th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Tapa Athlétic™ got a freekick which was hit by August Uibo. After some careless play in the Alfa FC defense, Paulino Oyarzún kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Buffon. The Alfa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Buffon should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Alfa FC's Gerald Buffon got control of the ball when Paulino Oyarzún tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdinand Conklin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Alo Remme ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Tapa Athlétic™ booed when Alfa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Oyarzún came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gerald Buffon could save by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Alfa FC's Rubinho Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Conklin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Tapa Athlétic™'s Paulino Oyarzún in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Tapa Athlétic™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tapa Athlétic™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
