New Loser FC's Cláudio Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save New Loser FC from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Dorival de Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eliseo Aureo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st match minute, Supernadie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Tello to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Odilon in the 23rd minute of play forced New Loser FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Tello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cláudio Maranhense was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Supernadie's zone, Célio Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Aureo came out of the goal and Célio Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cássio Favoretto fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Loser FC's protests and gave Cássio Favoretto a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in New Loser FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! New Loser FC:s Cláudio Maranhense showed great skill when he stopped Horacio Gartzi:s penalty. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Tello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cláudio Maranhense was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The supporters of Supernadie booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ademir Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Loser FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademir Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Aureo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Supernadie fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Supernadie's Zeledon Odilon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Célio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Queirós scored 2-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseo Aureo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
