Emanuel Oniga made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Sidnei Faria sent off a good shot on target. When Leontin Mareș came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the -BZF- Ursus Magura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Mareș couldn't finish the play. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Emanuel Oniga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Ursus Magura from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Joélson Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emanuel Oniga. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Ruy Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Nicolae, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Costică Mandache made a precise shot to the right of Ruy Goiano. Portuguesa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Faria got free with Emanuel Oniga in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalkeeper Emanuel Oniga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidnei Faria. Emanuel Oniga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Arantes in the 31st minute. After 34 played minutes Portuguesa got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Trigo. 43 minutes into the game, Sidnei Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Emanuel Oniga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Costică Mandache to strike the kick off in the second half. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Costică Mandache got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56thth minute of the game Sidnei Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Emanuel Oniga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Oniga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when -BZF- Ursus Magura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Baldu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Portuguesa's Charles Arantes made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Oniga was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Sidnei Faria came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Faria couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, -BZF- Ursus Magura's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Faria came free, but Emanuel Oniga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joélson Rossi took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Oniga. Emanuel Oniga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 89 minutes into the match, Vitório Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Oniga. -BZF- Ursus Magura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. A collision led to -BZF- Ursus Magura getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Leontin Mareș hit a great ball. When Joélson Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson Rossi couldn't finish the play. Portuguesa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
