Bernardino Nevada was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Philip Nevin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Laurence Mulford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Tonete in the 19th minute of play. Victoriano Jerrold charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ron Westerby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrows Academy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Westerby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Nevada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Jerrold took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurence Mulford. Laurence Mulford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Arrows Academy FC's Matthew Flintoff shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bernardino Nevada but with some difficulty. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Philip Nevin made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Wes Bray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Bernardino Nevada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prudencio Herauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurence Mulford having to interfere. In the 66th minute Lino Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Mulford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Prudencio Herauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Mulford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Congo Bongo's Lino Tonete got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Arrows Academy FC's Nicholas Sercombe got a free kick in the 79th minute. Congo Bongo's Gabriel Gaizko couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arrows Academy FC. Laurence Mulford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Parks kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Arrows Academy FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Danny Parks hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Lino Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Mulford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
