Mateo Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Bateman came free, but Mateo Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Norman Donnelly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mateo Jakue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Theodore Cagle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Jakue was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 23rd minute Norman Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Theodore Cagle came free, but Mateo Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Darren Stanley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Jakue. Esmeralda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darren Stanley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 30th minute, Chris Bateman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albano Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Grigore Proca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chris Bateman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Theodore Cagle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Mateo Jakue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Phil Riggs kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Esmeralda AFC booed when Recolta Alamor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Stanley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 minutes, German Isaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esmeralda AFC and the Recolta Alamor players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Esmeralda AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. German Isaio hit a great ball. After the first half Recolta Alamor were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Recolta Alamor's Theodore Cagle got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Recolta Alamor's Grigore Proca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Nazario in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norman Donnelly got free with Mateo Jakue in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chris Bateman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue got control of the ball when Norman Donnelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Esmeralda AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Recolta Alamor booed when Esmeralda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Meder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Cordaryal hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Grigore Proca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Fagildo in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Recolta Alamor's Chris Bateman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 87th minute, Saturnino Iturri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateo Jakue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodore Cagle in the 91st minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Nazario came free, but Grigore Proca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Recolta Alamor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
