Mathias Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of C.A Gryffindor booed when Velho Barreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Crescencio came free, but Mathias Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Crescencio went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Rene Crescencio scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rene Crescencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Crescencio ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathias Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Crescencio in the 33rd minute of play. Joaquim Miranda hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rene Crescencio in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46thth minute of the game Rene Crescencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velho Barreiro FC's Mathias Massa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Rene Crescencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Cardozo made in the 61st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Joaquim Miranda however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Lopes in the 65th minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Mathias Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A Gryffindor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rene Crescencio in the 66th minute. Mauro Oliveira had several of the Velho Barreiro FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Mathias Massa as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Mauro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Mauro Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Gryffindor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Vinícius Cardozo made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Paulo Prata. Mauro Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mathias Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Gryffindor. 94 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's Mauro Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Massa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Oliveira in the 96th minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Mathias Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
