In the 5th minute Ruben Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Jacobo Telesforo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Adelaide's Brian Brennand did a great save. In the 10th minute, Maximino Gaur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edward Schultz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Hanni having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Venceslao in the 22nd minute of play forced Adelaide's goalkeeper Brian Brennand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Hanni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Atkin in the 24th minute of the match. Prospero Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carleton Atkin in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edward Schultz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Hanni was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Fausto Egoitz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Prospero Hanni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Atkin in the 32nd minute of the match. Prospero Hanni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carleton Atkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Eufemio charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Eufemio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florencio Eufemio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Teofilo Venceslao struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Brian Brennand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiburones Rojos. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carleton Atkin was the one to do the kick off. Adelaide's Brian Brennand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Venceslao in the 53rd minute of play. Prospero Hanni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Atkin in the 57th minute of the match. Prospero Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carleton Atkin in the 59th minute of play. Brian Brennand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Edward Schultz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tiburones Rojos's Prospero Hanni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eriberto Bitxintxo's late challenge caught a Adelaide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Bitxintxo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Eriberto Bitxintxo got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Adelaide defense, Teofilo Venceslao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Brennand. The Adelaide fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Brennand should have stopped the shot. Carleton Atkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carleton Atkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Prospero Hanni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Carleton Atkin took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Prospero Hanni to make any attempt to save it.
